opinion of value and some of the determining factors:
- Most sellers will meet with us either at your business
or off-site so we can understand your goals and time frame. If you
feel that an opinion of value is appropriate,we request the necessary
information which will include:
- P&L and Balance Sheet history.
- Specific industry information.
- Non-specific customer information.
- Niche or proprietary product or service information.
- General management information.
- Non-recurring, one-time expense adjustments and owner benefit information.
- Provide the seller with an opinion of value that
considers the current market and the unique opportunities the business
represents.
- At this time the seller can determine the appropriate
coarse of action which can be one of the following:
- The value opinion meets the needs of the seller and the decision
is made to move forward and go on the market.
- The value opinion does not meet the needs of the seller and the
decision is made not to move forward (there is no obligation to us
if the owner elects not to move forward).
- Recommendations are made to improve the seller’s position and we
follow up at a future date (there is no obligation to us if the owner
elects this option).
